Reformat entire system?

So I'm soon to be upgrading from my current Barton 2.2 gHz nForce 2 system to an Athlon 64 3000+ nForce 3 system. The only components changing are my mobo and CPU. (Going from Asus A7N8X DLX to DFI Nforce 3 Ultra-D.)

I have two HD's, one 60 Gb for Windows and backups of my files, and the other 120 Gb for programs and such. My question is whether or not I should reinstall Windows XP and all my programs like Office, games, etc.. It would be a major hassle to do so, but would it be more stable in the long run to do it?

Yeah, I should have done a little more thorough search before I posted- that guide seems pretty slick. Thanks for pointing it out, though...:)

Aren't nForce 2 and 3 drivers pretty interchangeable? I wouldn't think I would have to redo the hardware profiles, etc...
