Im planning on gaming on my 2x 1080p LGs and would like to know if any stores carry the reference 1gb or 2gb still?

I doubt it. Buy a used card if you want a guaranteed reference card. FYI none of the 1GB are reference, only the 2GB.
 
I think there might still be some HIS reference models floating around.Also, FWIW I scored an open box 6950 reference from Newegg, pretty decent price on it too. Might keep an eye on their Open Box stuff.
 
There are just a few reference 1GB cards, the one I mainly remember is VisionTek, but yeah, most are non-reference, so paying the extra $20 eg for a good cooler would is worth it for you IMO.
