Redundant PSU?

I'm probably going to go for a PCP&C 400-450 watt power supply unit to power a motherboard with core 2 duo, and 5x 250-320 gigabyte harddrive, plus probably an small 36-74 gigabyte raptor for the OS.

Anyway I was wondering if that would work, or if it would be worth it to look into Redundant PSU, I've tried to do search but didn't find terribly alots of useful information out there.

Thanks!

At this moment its theorical:

CPU
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe 1.86GHz

RAM
2x Crucial Technology 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)

Motherboard
Intel Desktop Board DQ965GF - mainboard - micro ATX - iQ965

Raid Array
5x Western Digital Caviar RE WD3200YS 320G
--OR--
5x Seagate Barracuda ES ST3250820NS 250GB

Raid Array Cage
SUPERMICRO CSE-M35T-1B Black 5 Bay Hot-Swapable SATA HDD Enclosure

System Disk
Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JD 80GB
--OR--
Western Digital Raptor WD360ADFD 36.7GB 10,000 RPM
--OR--
Western Digital Raptor WD740ADFD 74GB 10,000 RPM

Dvd drive (Not sure)
Pioneer 16X DVD±R DVD Burner With 5X DVD-RAM Read Black ATAPI Model DVR-111D - OEM

Fans
CPU fan with the system
90 mm fan with the raid cage
probably 2-4 80-120 mm system fan

I hope that's complete enough, now this specification might be subject to modification, but its the general idea of what i want my system to look like.

Anyway the main reason why i ask about this, is because i'm trying to buy quality stuff with a focus on stability, so i do know that a good quality PSU is an important part of the system.

I know the PC P&C 470W will get the job done & the 360W probably will, as long as you are using intergrated graphics.

I know it will :) and its mainly for a NAS/file server, and it might be bit overpowered, but i probably will end up running some services on it too, mainly because i won't have enough money for "multiple machines" but anyway, what i was wondering is if it was worth it to go for redundant power supply units? those are expensive but i did find a nice server case from supermicro with 8 SATA hotswappable bay and a 1+1 650-750 watt redundant PSU but the case itself was over $600 alone, so i was wondering if it was worth it at all, or not? And it'll be hooked up to a UPS ofc.

IMO no, as it is not mission critical, however Zippy & I-Star both offer what you are looking for.

If going to N+1 PSU's you should also have either RAID 1, RAID 5 with a hot spare or RAID 0+1/10.

Also dual (or more) CPU's, redundant network connections & dual backplanes,
are normally used in mission critical systems, as max availability is the name of the game!

Dual redundant severs with load sharing & automatic "fail over" would be standard.

You are talking $3K to over $10K here for mission critical with max availability.

Then its probably not for me then, too expensive, and its for home use, for myself and possibly a few other uses, nothing mission critical, so...

Thanks! :)
