I have the following problem:

The colors appears as 16-bit in-game, but are set to 32-bit in windows.
Basicly, a color banding issue I guess.
This does not happen in any other game than WoW, nor in Windows.

Screenshots where it is clearly visible:

As you notice that the colors are not switching smooth as they are supposed to.

What I have tried to do in order to solve this:

Reinstalled drivers.
Reinstalled windows.
Updated with the freshest drivers avalible to the monitor and the graphic card.
Reinstalled WoW.
Removed Addons.
Set the quality to maximum both in WoW and windows.

Just in case, the graphic card I am using is a GeForce 7800gt, 256mb; and the monitor - Samsung SyncMaster 225BW.

WoW worked perfectly well with my computer setup a couple of days ago!

I have also tried to use previous versions of drivers.

How can you fix this?

I have that happen in certain areas of BF 2142 as well, and am looking for the same answer(remedy) myself Stilet.

I'm on the verge of buying another monitor because of this issue on my VX922.

What graphic card are you using? 7800gt?

Something makes me thing that it is all about the proper drivers - not the monitor.

This seems to be an nvidia issue. I think it is about the drivers.

But I have also heard that it's the latest .NET release (3.0) that couses this; do you have any information on that?

On BF 2142, the sky at various spots looks like crap, and there are a few other spots in the game when I get up close to objects. This is the only game I've noticed this in though.

I just started noticing it, could very well have been there all along. I f I had an ATI card I'd test it out, but I don't.

I'm guessing it's just a monitor limitation, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to say for sure.

Question is, if it is our hardware or the software.

I have heard that the newest .NET clent from microsoft was released recently, and in "connection" with that, these issues started to occur. Do you have any information on this Sphere?

Same thing happens to me in NBA 2k7 and PlinterCell Double Agent on the 360, im using a 2007WFP

I'll guess that it's a 6bit panel limitation. I'd really like to have someone who is knowledgeable come in and confirm this.

Hello brother.

I have dual 900vx monitors, actually one of them just died and I'm in the market for another 19 inch monitor for my desk but I want bright colors. Everything is dull with this I went to my friends house same video card 6800 by xfx and his games look great. Issue? Hes not running viewsonic he has a sharp and paid a good amount of money for it too.

I'm looking to spend about 300.00 and it being the end of the year I am looking for the deals.

Also I spoke to the viewsonic tech about the dead one. He said that he would never user viewsonic for gaming. Well jesus, if a guy who can get a deep discount won't game on them what does that tell you.
