Red screen on psp?

My Sargent brought his psp to me yesterday to see if i could fix it, whenever u turn it on it goes into the xmb, but then just freezes at the red screen, and nothing else you do can help it. Idk what to do, Anyone know how to fix this red screen?

I have a 2000 psp with 5.00 m33-2 and his is a 1000 psp, firmware unknown, but prob ofw

Check the last post sounds like it could be your problem.

Quote "You had a custom theme installed when you upgraded the firmware. You will need to go in to the xmb custom settings and set your theme to the default. First, i'd try resetting it to factory settings. Then I would get a pandora battery and try running it with despertar del cementerio and see if you can reinstall the firmware.
