I saw this game on clearance already at Target for $9.98. I was just wondering if anyone here thinks it's worth it? I've seen pretty much nothing but positive reviews, but I'm not sure if I'd like it.

If you like blowing things up, beating shit down with a sledgehammer, and driving big vehicles into structures/knocking them over- you'll love it.

ya, games got a few bugs but overall very fun, definatly worth $10

Skipped it. I watched some gameplay vids. Looked boring. Have legos I can knock down whenever I want.

I had a lot of fun with it, blowing up buildings never seems to get old. They went with a more open-ended approach this time, almost like GTA3. Gameplay is admittedly a little shallow, other than destroying things there really isn't much else to do.

Get it. The blow shit up aspect makes it so worth it. You'll never have so much fun crashing a giant truck into an enemy complex, getting out blowing the shit out of everything in sight promptly dying within 2 minutes.

I was hesitant at getting this game for PC until my friend got it. I saw him play for a little while and got on the multiplayer and was instantly hooked. The multiplayer is awesome. The single player is awesome too. It is definitely worth $10. I can't believe you found it for that price I just paid $40 bucks 2 weeks ago on Steam. I guess I should have shopped around first. Either way, $40 is worth it in my opinion. There are some bugs in the game but nothing too bad. I would definitely pick it up.

I have had the most fun with RF:G than I have had with any other game for years.

10 bucks is a total steal but please be aware there are some pretty major bugs that affect some people.

1) 5.1 surround sound does not work (Switching speakers to Stereo 2.1 can be used as a temporary fix)
2) Many Windows 7 users have reported major issues with the game running "too fast"
3) Turret controls with mouse are over sensitive making it difficult to aim unless you have DPI adjustments built on to your mouse.
4) Game crashes when attempting to adjust display options in-game.

For me, the game ran rock solid stable and I did not experience a single crash during gameplay.

The dynamic gameplay and destruction model is superb and to be honest, I didnt find the AI to be that bad. Sure, they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed but when you have 30 of the bastards coming at you on insane difficulty, you'll probably be grateful for it.

Some of the battles you get into, when raiding EDF (Earth Defense Force) encampments are incredibly dynamic and epic.

There is a patch due to be released very soon that is said to correct the 5.1 surround issue along with a pile of other fixes (patch has already been submitted and is just waiting for clearance to go live). I am going to play through this game again as soon as I am done with Risen. Love it.

Personally, I'm no professional game reviewer, but I know what I like. 9 out of 10

I have it on the PS3 and love it. Definitely worth 10 bucks! Its like GTA lite on Mars.

Nice, I'll have to check out the local Target clearance bin. I loved this game and for $10 I'd happily buy it for a friend.

I think at $10 it's a steal! If you're excited about full on destruction and like the more open world, sandbox type structure, you'll really enjoy it.

its a little like Far Cry 2 and Lost Cause put together. at times the combat is just so stupid and over the top with constant spawning and vehicles going everywhere and then a few minutes later its like nothing ever happened. I am trying my best to like it since I am tired of wasting my money by giving up on games but this one is just not a lot of fun.

It has its good points, but the cheap enemy spawning and not being able to carry any decent amount of ammo will likely frustrate you.

They're working on a patch for most of those issues, but who knows when it'll be done.

Maybe I wasn't in the best mood when I gave this game a shot. I thought it was boring. The destruction is cool, that will always be cool but otherwise I wasn't all that thrilled with the gameplay. I'll try it again over the weekend if I can pull myself away from Uncharted 2.

I wish I hadn't paid more than $20 tops for it myself. It's good for what it is but it could have and should have been a lot more IMHO.

If the patch is "all that" maybe the reason for the clearance pricing is that they plan to clear out the unpatch software, and push the patched game again for the Holidays.
