This benchmark looks at Red Dead Redemption 2 PC mysteries involving stuttering, the 9700K (and hyperthreading), and async compute in XML settings.

wonder if the new drivers dumped today resolve a lot of these micro and macro stuttering issues?

So have a super fast rig... that somehow has low thread count, and you may break the game HA!

I do worry how this game would work on my rig, 4770k and gtx970 isn't even listed on any of the benchmarks I've seen. If only they had a FPS demo you could download to see how it works without buying the damn game.

no mention of RDR2 in the driver notes, but then again if it is an engine issue like the GN video demonstrates there is very little nVidia can do to correct that asside from implementing artificial restrictions in the games profile which seems messy and ultimately a bad idea.

5960x and a TITAN V
I couldnt even open the game and got my $100 back.

If only ... :barefoot:

My game would not start either. HDR issue with my display. Started in safe mode, turned off HDR, no troubles after that.

Yeah it's a bummer if you own a I-7 9700K if I upgrade my I-7 8700K it's going to be a I-9 9900K for sure.
120hz workaround is good though incase you own one.

All this time and they couldn't do any proper testing before launching the game? I've had it just completely close on me while doing the benchmark but since the latest patch I haven't had any issues with the game itself.
