Hi, I'm having a recurring problem with my system. A while back I unplugged my machine to transport it. When I hooked it back up I began having issues. Vista would take extremely long to load (30-50 minutes), and when I did get to the desktop I discovered that my CPU usage was at 100%. This made my PC essentially unusable. Reformatting did absolutely nothing (reinstalling vista took 4-5 hours). To fix the problem, I simply cleared the CMOS on my mobo (DFI LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G). I havent had any issues up until now.
Well, I have transported my PC once again, and now I seem to have the same problem. However, clearing the CMOS did nothing. Looking for any suggestions as to how to get this problem solved. Thanks.
Specs:
Vista 32-bit
DFI LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G
2GB corsair RAM DDR2
AMD FX-62
Again, the PC is essentially unusable. So I cant retreive any additional info from it. (using a friends PC at the moment).
