Recovering/Formatting a partition

On my laptop, i have a 80GB drive thats partitioned 40 - 40.

After downloading a song yesterday and opening it, when WMP launched, the laptop crashed and it said a fatal error had a occurred.

Now, when i double click the drive, it says the drive is not formatted. Even when i click format now, it says the drive cannot be formatted. When i click on properties, the file system is RAW.

Any ideas on how i can recover the data on the partition or if not, at least format it ?
