Recording video on Windows 8

How can you continue to record video on windows 8 without being on the camera app or while locking user account ?

As of now, the camera must on the screen for recording if i even go on a browser the recording stops . Is there settings for this on windows 8 or third party / hidden camera that continues to record regardless ?
