Is there a program that can record sound off my sound card and break it up into different chucks? Like i can hit play and have it automaticly cut and start a new music file when theres a pause for x seconds? I accidently converted a lot of CD's into on big file each.

Audiograbber will record what it hears. That's especially good for recording from a vinyl LP or catching a stream from the net. It will do what you want, but a better way in your case, would be to have a program to open the file an split the tracks into songs. A lot of editors will do that. Some, like Sound Laundry's Algorithmix, will do it automatically, but you should be able to find a freeware, or opensource, sound editor that will fill the need. I've seen a bunch of them at various freeware and opensource websites, but I can't provide any links because the programs that I use cost money. If you are interested in buying a program, however, Sound Forge is the most versatile one that I know about. Otherwise, maybe someone will come along who can provide some good links.

Never fear, you'll find one. :)

Thank you guys. These seem to for ok. I will try that program out, they have a trial i will try.
