I was recently asked to convert a mini cassette tape to CD Audio. Is it possible to use the ear phone jack of the cassette recorder to the mic input on the computer to record via wav that way to get a digital copy?

Alternate solutions if not?

Use the line-in port instead of the mic port. (unless you have one of those combo line-in/mic ports...then nvm)

Yeah, cassette player -> line in is fine, just make sure the players volume isn't too high.

audacity is the little free program i use to do this, its pretty easy to use and allows you to change volume levels for the track you are creating.
