Recommended SSD drive brand/model?

I'm looking at buying a SSD in the next 2 weeks during these crazy sales I've been seeing in the Hot Deals forum. One in the 240/256GB range. In what order should I consider these drives?

Crucial M4
Sandisk Extreme
Samsung 830
Plextor M3

I believe those are considered the top contenders. Let me know if not.

If Intel 520 is not on your list, I would rank them as:

Plextor M3 Pro
Samsung 830
Plextor M3
Crucial M4
Sandisk Extreme

But if the price is a factor and you get a big price difference, I would go for the cheapest one. Also consider the warranty length, some of these drives have 5 years vs 3 years for the others.

I didn't think about Intel. I've just listed what I've noticed on sale the past couple weeks. Yes, price is a factor and so far Crucial M4 seems to be winning on that front. I'd love a Plextor but if I can score a Samsung I'd be pretty happy.

The reason i mentioned Intel is that newegg still has a $100 rebate on it today, so if you are in the US you can pick it up for $230 after rebate. It was $210 yesterday, they had an extra $20 off coupon.

Crucial seems to be the cheapest at $180.

Sandisk Extreme is also $180 for 240gb. I haven't used it personally yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I can vouche for the 830's being super awesome, never any issue

OCZ. Although reliability has improved they have a very poor RMA department.

I really like my M4 256GB SSDs. Although I do not have an 830 to compare them too.

The M4 while not as good as some of the others on that list, it is a great drive and does belong on that site.

Do not go around trashing the M4 just because you didn't read the specs of their crappy write speeds on the 64GB models, which is common among most SSDs.
