Recommended speaker system for 360

I have a viewsonic 22" widescreen monitor that I use for my 360, excellent product but obviously the sound is lacking. Im looking to spend around $50 on some decent speakers, I dont need top of the line just the best I can get at that price. I know next to nothing about speakers / sound in general so suggest something and I will blindly follow :cool:
 
Logitech X-230 is what I use...cheap and works great. it's only 2.1 but I don't have room for surround sound anyway.
