I just installed my brand new GTX460 768MB. My main game right now is Bad Company 2. I run at 1680x1050 with a Q6600 and 2xSSD RAID0. It's been while since I had an nVidia card. What's the recommended 3D settings in the Control Panel?

If the Q6600 is at stock and you're 460 is over-clocked, definitely go for 4X MSAA or 8xQ. I always run anisotropic filtering at 4x, maybe 8x given the diminishing returns. (then again I come from an age of transition from point filtering (software/matrix mystique ---> voodoo 1 :)) to bilinear to trilinear, lol.

Transparency AA is game dependent. It's a performance hit, so turn it on only if you feel it will help IQ with some textures that contain transparent parts (foliage...) Some games will have messed up GFX with multi-sampled, so super-sampled will be needed.

Turn on Triple Buffering if you *ever* use VSYNC.

Leave the top anisotropic optimization off and the bottom one on.

Everything else personal preference.

Looks more goodly now, even with 2xMSAA. I always use 16xAS.
Does Bad Company 2 automatically detect DX11?

BTW, all my stuff is stock clock ATM.
