My HD died tonight so I'm looking for a SATA drive that's a screamer. Size doesn't really matter 'cause I have a 500GB external HD. Give me some ideas!
 
Can't beat a raptor. Get the 147 if you really want something damn fast, or if you'd prefer, get a couple and raid 0 them. Any raptor will be fast enough, basically.
 
Raptor 150GB.
Dont especially need 2 of 'em in RAID0, but if you got the cash to burn go for it.. Just be sure to back up regularely.
 
I'll check out the Raptor's. It's been a while since I've read anything about them. However I recall that they were a bit on the loud side, is this true with the newer models? Keep those ideas coming...
 
The WD2500KS is probably the best gaming non-raptor disk.

 
i own a 36 raptor... not as fast but noticable load time diff in BF2 and in windows from my WD cavier 120 satas....


its not really loud... not quite you can hear it but if you have 2 gb of ram you dont have to use your HDD for much :)
 
The 150 cant be 155 @ zzf...

Ok, I knew it couldn't be true. However if that sale that I saw is still on, if you can dish out the extra 50 mos def worth it.
