Hello,

What would be the recommended cooler design of Radeon HD 6950/6970 for crossfire setup?

Would reference design be better since it is designed to vent to rear ?
or typical non-reference cooling is enough?

My motherboard is on sig. + case is Antec 300.

Stock coolers or aftermarket coolers will both work great on your board. There is good space between where the 2 cards will be. I always set a custom fan profile with MSI afterburner as factory fan settings are never enough due to their concern with noise making it into a review and swaying a custom away to another card.

water, but you should be fine with anything but the triple slot designs for a top card. What case?
