Putting together a new rig, I generally went with full towers previously, however most of the time I didn't end up using most of the space from a full tower, so was thinking if a smaller mid-tower would be better, I had a Silverstone TJ05 which is a really nice case, but big for what I'd put in.

A handful of things are probably certain:

1. I probably wouldn't want to go SLI, however if I did I don't think most cases would have trouble.
2. I'd use a single optical drive.
3. I may want to get some sort of fan controller, if I could find one as subtle as I could, possibly a 5 1/4 bay.
4. I'd use 2-3 HDs (single OS/app drive, 1-2 storage drives [2 if in RAID]), because I would probably take up a file server project sooner or later.
5. Has to fit standard ATX PSU (probably going to be a 620HX)
6. Has to be relatively quiet...
7. Has to have a subtle design, I wouldn't mind a window, but not required.
8. Has to be able to deal with dust, via filters of some sort.

I wouldn't overclock heavily. So case *COOLING* doesn't have to be extreme to the likes of a 900 or Cosmos. Just efficient.

Aside from that, I don't mind front panel doors like ones on the P180/182 series, or some of the Silverstone cases, but also don't want the case to look like crap IF the door is open (I'm sure we've seen *those*).

I have been looking at cases such as the Lian Li A05B, which I really like sleek look of. I also like the look of the Lian Li B25B, except I don't think it justifies the ~$200 price point, and think the beveled side panel look is not appealing. The Coolermaster RC690 seems really great for the price, including the mad amount of cooling/fans it can take in, but I don't think I'll go for that one.

So far I'm really eying a Lian Li A06B which is an updated version of the A05B with better venting in the front, only thing is it has a built in front LED light/strip which I want to know how/if I can disable it, or at least change the led to a different color.

Aside from case, I was thinking about painting the interior black as well. And although it's probably been asked a lot, what process should I take if I wanted to paint the inside (entire inside) black. Are there any specific recommended paints and or primers needed, sanding or no sanding?

Post any help you may have, from recommended cases to look at (willing to look at anything! Even if it's ATX!) and help with the paint.

EDIT1: Just noticed that the A06B has a different rear design... so it has only a 80mm fan, instead of a 120mm... which sucks, so might be back to the drawing board!
