Recommended case lights?

I'm looking to add lights to my Silverstone FT02 case, as it has none aside from the motherboard lighted chipset heatsinks. Seems like a simple question, but just wondered if there are any in particular that might be recommended?

I was hoping to connect it to one of my unused 3pin fan control headers, to dim it or turn it off as needed. I don't know if they allow this or not, as they seem to be small 4 pin or special in their connector.

Edit: I was thinking something like this, but I guess you have to dim it with the included rear-access slot panel, which in on my case would block air flow past the video cards. :(

This + this would make for a pretty cool light show. I'm planning on using those exact same components myself, already have them. Just haven't had the time to install them.

Well, I've thought up a possible solution for using the NZXT LED strip linked in the original post... any input on this idea? I am thinking I will zip tie the whole pci slot assembly into one of the plastic 3.5" hard drive bays, and then hook the power for the unit to a 4 pin molex adapter that goes to 3 pin on the fan controller. Then see if it dims when I turn the knob.

Looking at an image of the top of the controller, all it is is a setup of resistors, the switch going back and forth between different resistance levels. So if I set it to the max setting, and then dim with the fan controller knob it should work I think. Also as an added bonus, it will be easy to turn them off from the front of the case, just turn the fan controller knob to zero. The board has no digital circuits I don't think, requiring set voltages, so I think it will be ok.

I found a good photo of the top of the circuit board here:

I ordered two of them, 2 meters for my Silverstone FT02, and 1 meter for my Fractal Design Define R4, both in blue. Hope they work well.

Just get some white LED strips and set one up o the bottom and top of the case. Colored lights drown out all contrast in a rig and alwats end up looking tacky.

I like these...

Case lights scream 1997 to me personally... but to each his own.

Cheapest place to find them is ebay, and if you are savvy it's much cheaper to assemble something yourself.

Can't use the fan controller to dim the lights, as the fan controller outputs on the 12v molex connection, and the molex that the control board for the NZXT lights connects to is on 5v side of the molex. If I moved the cables to the 12v side, turn up the fan controller and I'd have a little fireworks show as the resisters popped most likely.

Anyway, I put case lights in, a 2 meter strand. Took me about 5 tries to get them set in the right spots to light it smoothly, with no obvious spots from bulbs. Looks fantastic! I've never had a case with a window before, nor lighted a case. Really looks dressy, not at all the underglow on a car look. (Might be why I wanted to use LED's, they don't look like that). I also set them to dim setting, for a more subtle overall look. :)
