recommendations for sata card?

i built a home server with some old pc parts and i need to add a sata card. i dont know much about sata cards, so could some one recommend a good one.

i have the following drives:

x1 western digital se16 500gb 7200rpm sata 3.0gb/s
x2 western digital se16 250gb 7200rpm sata 3.0gb/s

and a lite-on sata dvd rom drive


the motherboard has 2 sata ports with a transfer rate of 1.5gb/s.
