My system is entirely too noisy. The damn thing sounds like a jet taking off in my apartment. It's in my sig. I have 4 80mm fans and one 120mm fan. Does anyone know of some reasonably quiet fans I can replace these with? I'm going deaf here!!!!

nothing made a difference until I picked up my fan controller. Either that or use something like speedfan if your mobo is supported to control the speeds. I have 4 120mm yate loons that run at half speed daily, only crank them up to game in which case noise is not an issue for me. I sleep 5 feet away from my case also.

sunbeam rheobus is the controller I have. 13$.

For the 120mm fans, I suggest picking up a Scythe Kaze-Jyuni. I just bought 4 of the 800rpm models and they're literally whisper quiet. I was running a Scythe S-Flex as my system fan and the switchover was night and day. Granted the S-Flex was the 1600rpm model and moved 65cfm as opposed to the 800rpm's 40cfm but even the 1200rpm Kaze-Jyuni is quieter than the S-Flex and moves just as much air!

I never had any experience with the Kaze-Jyuni, but I am running 5 Scythe S-Flex E-model 1200rpm. Those suckers move a lot of air, but the noise is not "silent." The sound is not loud at all, but if you want whisper quiet, then the D-model 800rpm is right for the OP.
