I've read alot of reviews and I'm leaning towards the deathadder. I currently have a 518 so I'm considering a g5.

The 4 mouses I'm looking at are a g9 g5 deathadder and the Lachesis. People seem to think the Lachesis is unconfrontable so I'm not sure about that one. The money doesn't matter so what I want to know is in your guys opinions what would be the best gaming mouse(FPS) to go with.
 
i dont like the design of the Lachesis or G9 and ive heard bad things about g5 performance.

are you not happy with ur 518? cause honestly id say just stick with that.
 
Content but I'd like something newer mine is getting older and i'd rather upgrade to something new then get another 518.
 
I had the G5 for a short while until it broke :( Right now I'm just using a replacement mouse until I find the time to call up the supplier. I really like the G5 mouse though, just wish this one didn't have to die on me...
 
I just received my death adder today (Guild Wars edition, yes I'm a whore) and love it. I'm replacing my G7 cause it likes to just stop working and I have to unplug and replug in the USB receiver for it to work again, got pissed dying in games due to it.

So far the death adder has been great and has a great feel. I'd have no problems recommending it even with my 8 hours or so of use so far
 
Thanks for the replys. I'm really leaning towards the deathadder now. I'm almost postive that's what I'm going to get. I'm making a run to bestbuy after work today :D
 
I'm a big Razer fan. My Diamondback broke recently, and I ended up with a Logitech G3 - which is nice, but I relaly would prefer to have been able to find a Copperhead. I like the way Razers feel in my hand better than Logitechs. I'm left handed and I find the ambidextrous design Razer uses on most of their mice to be much better than Logitechs.
So, my vote is for the Deathadder(and yes I know it's a right handed design. It's the only reason I got the G3 instead).
 
Also got the deathadder. It's a really nice mouse with great tracking and doesn't skip a beat. Really good piece of hardware!

The G3 is a very nice mouse. But if you prefer Razers, it sounds like you should check out the Diamondback 3G. It's small like the Logitech G3, but a little more comfortable, and a much better sensor.

It's exactly like your older Diamondback - just built with different materials.
 
I prefer the MX518 over the G5 because the G5 has an annoying sidescroll middle button and I like to just click DOWN on the wheel (opening links, etc). Plus two side buttons.
 
Thought MX518 was better than both deathadder and G5 due to more buttons.
 
Having all the mice you mentioned, death adder is the best IMO. best tracking, best comfort. Its also the only razor mouse I have ever liked.
 
I have MX400 at home, LOVE IT.
I just think that it's almost perfect :D,.
 
I really like my Razor Diamondback 3G, I think you should give that one some thought to :)
 
i personally like the razer sea serpent, just make sure you get the latest driver for it.
 
I'm using a G9 right now, and I'd have to say its the best mouse I've used yet. I've had an mx518, a microsoft wheel mouse, and a logitech vx revolution.

The only things I don't like about it are:

It's not wireless.

The wheel button is really hard to click down. It takes so much force that it messes up my aim, and I just don't even use it any more. Anything I used to do with middle wheel I now just map to one of the side buttons.

Overall I'd give it a 9/10.

Hopefully someday someone will make the perfect mouse, but until then, you just have to find something that works for you.
