Recommendations for a "budget" card

Personally, I'd look for a nVidia 6200 or 6600 if you can find it. The 6200 has been known to overclock to 6600 speeds, which is going to give you a great deal of satisfaction for that price range.

If you can still find an x550 they are about $80 or if you can get yer hands on a 6600 as was suggested, you should be happy with the performance.
 
I suggest the earlier mentioned 6200 AGP card. It can oc really well and if you look hard enough you can find it for under $100.00. Usuaully with rebates etc..

nah probably a 6200 or something in that price bracket perhaps even a 9800pro
 
Go with an Ati 9600pro or xt (if you can find one for under $100). Ati did a great job on their 9X00 series and its faster than an nvidia 6200 and about par with a 6600.
 
the 9600 series is ok but a 6800LE for $99 will blow it away. too good of a deal to pass up. get it before its gone
 
If you can find the 6800 LE. Noone mentioned the X700 pro for 119.00. I know some people that are playing HL2 and DOOM 3 just fine with that card.

Good call there too.. I have gone through an x700pro and it was a nice card. Go with that instead of the 9600xt like I said in my last post. You will see more performance there.. Im not too sure about the 6800LE.. its slow and pretty close to a 6600gt performance wise..
