Does anyone have any recommendations for a new Nvidia video card for under $100? I'm trying to build a budget shuttle pc, and there are hundreds of brands/option out there..

Thank you

I'd recommend spending the little bit extra cash and get a 9600 GT. I've seen them as low as 140$ after MIR or less. It will play almost anything at max or near max on a 19" monitor. I doubt you'll regret spending it. You should check out [H]ards review on the card. The preformance you get for those last 40$ vs a 100$ card is just insane.

As far as brand goes, I'd go BFG or EVGA or whatever you can find a good deal on. Shop around and watch the "deals" section of the forums.

8800GS is not really a good card for a budget shuttle. It will strain the 250w PSU.

9600GT's a good choice but it will run hot inside a shuttle.

the 9600GT is the coolest running card you can get for nvidia with any horsepower.

so i think it will be just fine in the shuttle.

better then any other option.

9600gt, 3850, hell even the old school x1950's and 7950GT's will get you medium settings.
