Looking for suggestions on desk and LCD monitor recommendations...

Desk wise im looking towards the galant (ikea) ...kind of light on the CL posts in my area so im hoping someone knows of an alternative to that style of desk something very minimalistic and as affordable as possible ...(if you seen pics before of my setup right now, im looking to put a galant or galant type desk in the corner near my samsung mounted lcd) ... im a student too so its kind of hard and frustrating to try and study or read or do anything on your bed productively without wanting to turn on the tv or just fall asleep lol

and also i would like some LCD monitor recommendations... maybe 4-5 max on two monitors... everyone seems to love the 2209wa monitors but i believe they are at 3 bills (229 refurb) ... can i get away with a cheaper solution ... maybe a couple of samsung syncmasters or something like that... maybe (2) 22" would be fine... im thinking of originally having one LCD at horizontal and other at vertical orientation so maybe i can compromise on the size of one lcd?

plus this all gonna be hooked up as well to my samsung lcd tv (can i make it work or no).. my thinking is, is that im going to be having a corner desk with dual monitors for just general browsing and gaming with the occasional movie or casual hulu/streaming tv stuff on the big LCD tv...thats kind of the route im trying to go...

thanks guys

You can probably get away with TN panels, but thats totally on you. You should check some out in person before buying online.

craigslist around my way with barely any ikea galant desks -_-

i was surprised bc i went to frys the other day and saw buncha monitors there... i only recall the ASUS and Samsung Syncmasters as being really good in terms of color and quailty of colors and the viewing angles i can deal with considering im going to be like what half a foot away from the thing...

so any asus and samy monitors to recommend pls let me know... im thinking maybe i could get a 23-24" for the main monitor and start on the sides with one 20-22" monitor that will be propped up vertically... err or maybe two asus or two samsung monitors of the same size should suffice for the time being huh

plus like i said, im looking to it also hooked to my Samsung 40" LCD tv for movie viewing and things like that...

i am running currently on a sapphire 4830 card so that has a vga dvi and hdmi out... the hdmi is currently hooked to my tv so hopefully that helps

just picked up a galant desk (corner-right) came with extension piece, A-legs and one of those small rolling cabinets for a bill, so not bad considering the desk itself at ikea is over 200

went to frys again to look at LCD screens...im surprised bc looking more closely with the samsung monitors i wasnt really impressed at all and surprisingly there was a gateway lcd that had really good viewing angles and at least to me looked like it performed the best... there was also a couple of LG LED monitors that were super nice (thin and all that) but idk which to choose still -_-

ill post pics as soon as i have time to put together the desk ... blah another rearrangement for my room -_-

yeah the desk is way bigger than i thought so well see how it goes... i have school so i wont able to get it assembled quite yet...

any recomendations on monitors guys.... im looking to buy two monitors for as low as possible maybe 5 max ... i didnt see anymore 2209wa on the Dell outlet area :(
maybe a couple of 22-24 panels would be doable?
i would like them to both swivel....im thinking long term im thinking of getting maybe a 24-30 and that would be the middle monitor and the other two panels would be on the sides either vertical or whatever depending on how it looks heh

alright guys ... 2209wa should i buy (2) from the dell outlet (i looked this morning and they were there on the outlet site all of a sudden hah) or just get them new...

i believe its 250 new and 229 used.... im scared bc ive never bought used before so i dnt know what to expect

im looking to buy today today considering it says on their site 1-2 weeks ... so ASAP hahah

i was also being swayed towards the HP ZR22w monitors but they are more pricey ...
