Recommendation 8gb for AMD

As the title says, looking for a recommendation for 8gb for a new X6 build.

I'm not sure if it would be better to go with 4x2 or 2x4

The x6s have a better IMC than the x4s, so 8gb is perfectly fine with the new thubans.
As for which memory to go for, anything ddr3-1600 and low timings is good (if you had to choose, i think AMDs like lower timings more than higher speed ram). I personally like G.Skill ECOs, and people have also recommended Muskin Blacklines around here.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on pairing it up with a crosshair IV. I'm hoping whatever ram I get will be able to keep the timings tight, and the speed.
