or maybe even a bit more than $100 would be fine...my story is i recently bought an antec neohe 550 at a local best buy cause i was in a hurry and couldnt wait but i grossly overpaid compared to what i see online...it was $170 and i see it can be bought online for less than $100...my question is before i go through the hassle of getting my money back would the corsair 520 be a whole lot better than this one or maybe even one a little bit less expensive one be better...im loving this psu but i really dont like that i overpaid for it i like to get the best price for things...my setup is as follows
soltek socket 754 nforce 3 motherboard
1gb ddr memory
amd 64 3000 socket 754
3 ide 7200 drives
5 led 80mm case fans
2 dvd burners
bfg geforce 6600gt agp
as i said id like around $100 but a little more wont kill me....im asking this for a psu also for a future upgrade i know this technology is getting outdated..thx for your time

thx for the reply...i just got my money back from best buy so im cool there lol so now its time to buy...i really dont think i need the corsair even though i know its great cause im not a power user...im really at most a mid range guy so im actually thinking about that xclio but the one recommended for mid range the goodpower 500...would the 450 one be good also? my big concern about these powersupplies is i am getting conflicting responses from sites on the caps used...do these powersupplies come with high quality caps and not the fuji or whatever sorry im not a guru on this lol? im getting ready to order so id appreciate a response soon :)

already purchased the xclio 500 at newegg...i know there are dozens of choices and the corsair would have been overkill for me...i was looking in that price range but i realized that im just a mid range user anyway and even the xclio would be overkill for me...hope i made the right choice i really went with dave's thread on the best mid range power supply so im banking on him to be right lol...i still would like to know of the caps on this xclio cause i was reading that it has the Fuhjyyu caps....this would put me at ease if it has good caps

Fortron PSUs are bulletproof and stable if you ask me. here is one for $84. 500w
The Fortron Storm 500W is a good PSU, but it should be priced at under $75, really about $65.

CONGRATS! :D

Good case cooling is the key, a little positive pressure goes a long way! ;)

i have 2 80s in the front, 1 80 on the side, and 2 80s in the back...i would rather 120s but the case i have takes 80s....this should be fine right?
