recommend motherboard replacement

I posted this in the motherboards thread and didnt get any replies so im reposting here.

My Asus m2n-e died recently and I am looking to replace it with something better. Im not a huge fan of the m2n-e as I have heard it has given people many problems.

Here are the specs of the m2n-e:
CPU Type- AM2: Athlon 64 X2 / Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 / Sempron
Number of Memory Slots- 4×240pin
Memory Standard- DDR2 800
Maximum Memory Supported - 8GB
Max Lan Speed 10/100/1000Mbps
Onboard video

Specifically I have 4gb ram (4x1gb sticks), an athlon 64 X2, and need a 1000mbps lan speed, and onboard video. This is for my file server. I would like something that is fairly cheap as this is old/outdated hardware. Any suggestions besides buying another m2n-e?

I have the ASUS A8N-E which i gave $50.00 on ebay . They run average used between $50-60 on ebay and its a great replacement for that board you have there.

The major problem is, the A8N-E is a Socket 939 board - but the OP's CPU is Socket AM2. The two sockets are completely incompatible with one another - such that an AM2 CPU will not even physically fit Socket 939, nor will a Socket 939 CPU even physically fit Socket AM2. Furthermore, the A8N-E uses DDR1 RAM while all AM2 systems use DDR2 RAM.
