Recommend me a video card for this motherboard

You can use any video card in that slot .
Heres the catch though your cpu would not be able to handle very many cards at all.

You would be best served with a 50 dollar 8800GT and I bet your CPU would still hold back the 8800GT,Just my 2 cents. You should keep you current video card and save some cash.OR buy a new system at tigerdirect/newegg for 300 bucks and get more out of your video card.
Canadian tigerdirect so would be cheaper in the USA

PCI-E scaling with 480GTX for reference.

You're not limited by your motherboard, but your 2Ghz CPU is going to stop you from getting much improvement out of a graphics upgrade in some games:

It's a tough decision. The answer is going to have to depend on which games you play and which PSU you have. Assuming your PSU can power them, solid options would be:
1)There is a guy in the FS forum selling a GTX285 for $150, get that then spend $150 on a PII 945.
2)Spend $100 on a 4870, then spend $200 on a PII 1055T.
3)Spend $200 on a GTX460, then spend $100 on a PII 640.

If you want to play Crysis, get the best GPU you can afford and skimp on the CPU. If you want to play Starcraft or Civilization, get the best CPU you can and skimp on the graphics card.

The CPU will be a Brisbane 2.9Ghz... not my 3600+ in my sig (even though its over clocked to 2.9 ghz too)

buying a 5850 to use with a 2.9 A64 X2 would be an extremely ignorant move. perhaps you did not not see my post that was right before yours?

I agree with this. The CPU is not good enough for a 5850.
I still think OP should just spend his 300 bucks on a better computer. As his system will hold back just about any video card upgrade.Refer to post #2

New system is a waste when his current mobo supports Phenom II and a new socket is comming in January anyway.
