Im looking for a good PSU that would replace my current one(MGE vigor 500W), I know there is a lot of good PSU in the market but which one do you think would be good in the price range of $80-$120. THANKS :)

As always. What will it be powering? The rig in your sig? What do you want from it.....balls to the wall performance, efficency, quiet, modular cables, show? Will you be upgrading?

it'll be powering whats in my sig, and for stable OC :D , Im planning on adding 2 more 120mm fan for my 2X 120mm RAD. :)

Well you have a lot of options then.

The OCZ powerstream 520w or the Modstreams.

There are a bunch more I can come up with see if any of those tickle your fancy. And feel free to shop those I just use the egg for convience other places may be cheaper.

http://store.yahoo.com/directron/ocz420adj.html just as good as the 520w one that has a useless to most people 10 extra amps on the 5v lol..and has 3 extra amps on the 12v and cost alot more. the 420 is the sweet spot :)
Agreed... paying significantly more to get 10 amps on the +5V line is a moot point these days. Too bad OCZ got rid of the mid-range 470W model, which had the extra +12V amperage but none added to the +5V.

I love the Seasoniq Super Silencers. If you go through pricewatch you could snipe the 460 Watts for $80 a few times in the past (some online shop being cheaper through pricewatch). They are very efficient, have a lot of power on the 12 volts and as the name suggests are quiet.

However, the super silencers do not contribute to the airflow in your case. You strickly need other fans. Which you should have anyway, but it is worth mentioning.

Shameless plug: I have a black Zalman 400B for sale for $70 shipped, in case you consider buying used.

Ived been searching for a good PSU this past few days and luck just came my way, my bro gave me his PSU, its a OCZ Modstream 520W. I check the specs on newegg and i think this would be a good replacement for my current PSU, I know this is free guys but i need your feedback on this PSU and all Forum members who have the same PSU. Would this be sufficient for my current RIG and this one was also recommended by Spectre. THANKS
