Currently I have an enermax liberty 500w psu and I know that it wont cut for my planned future upgrades. Here is what I need / plan on doing in the future.

1. First of all I am going to get a 8800 or R600 series GPU and running it in my current rig (please note that I will not be using sli ever, 1440*900 res doesnt need it)

2. I eventually plan on going to quad core and ddr2 or ddr 3, which ever is there at the time

3. Water cooling, plan on running an external unit ( corsair nautilus ) and maybe a dedicated internal loop for the vid card

4. So im looking for something right now that can run my current rig (see sig) and will be still awequate for future upgrades, new mobo, cpu, ram, wc, and vid card (non sli)

Here is what I have been looking which seem to be more than adequate for what i plan on doing soon and future upgrades. BTW trying to keep it under 200 or so

PC Power and Cooling Silencer 610W

Well, in the near future if all you're doing is upgrading your videocard you should be fine.

out of the choices I have listed, which one would be the best for future upgrades. Im looking to buy a new one soon and want it to be ready for quadcore and new mobo/gpu maybe wc as well

what is the general on the silencer, I know everyone loves the 1kw models, but I have heard little of the silencer. Are they reliable and adequate for most upgrades in the near future?

Seasonic makes their Silencer line. So its definitely quiet and its definitely quality.

ok im debating between the seasonic, PCp&c, and the OCZ one. I buy from newegg because I have a preferred account and get free rush orders and 1.1% discount and can make payments on orders rather than having to plop down everything at once.

I want the PCp&c 610, but the wattages are more on the others, what should I do? Wattage aside which has the highest amps and most stable 12v rails?

OCZ GameXStream (or whatever...) has been shown to have out-of-spec ripple, either of the other two would be fine.

PC power and cooling it is!!!!

Which silencer should I get?
610W 179.99
750W 219.99

Do i need the extra wattage?

BTW what is a fair asking price for an enermay liberty 500W and a Antec True POwer 2.0 550W? Im looking to sell both of these to help fund the new psu? Is the silencer also longer thanx a normal psu and if so how much? Guess i need to start measuring!!!!

SRY!!!! last question, will the silencer be compatible with future mobos? like the evga 680i or similiar

THANX!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Im thinking of getting the ocz since its cheaper and it seems to get good reviews. Am i making a stupid mistake?

dammit im not sure now!!!!! can someone please tell me a psu to get that will be more than adequate for an 8800GTX and whatever ati may throw out. I want 600W or greater and a high amps on the 12v line. The kick in the nuts is that I would like to stay under 175 if possible!

That PCp&c 610 is mighty tempting, but does it have enough amps on the 12v lines for an 8800GTX or R600?

How much stuff do you want to upgrade to, like a C2Q, and __..--~~''~~--..__::Quad SLI 8800GTX-XXX-XFX-666-1337-OC-KO Superclocked WTF edition:__..--~~''~~--..__ ?

If not, the HX 620 or M12 wil be what you want. Silent, seasonic, modular. Can't go wrong there.

I don't recommend the GXS.

ok ive decided on teh pc power and cooling 750W. Anyone wanna try and change my mind before i order?

On the same subject, does anybody forsee a new PS format or some new 42 pin cable? Is that even predictable?

ok, ive decided on the pc power and cooling 750w and wanted to give everyone one last chance to share some sdvice before i order
