looking for a headset as my old one died and i need one for skype. can any of you recommend me a decent one in the 20 bucks range?

what is it going to be used for. From my experience with headphones, when you buy a cheap one, you get cheap quality and they break easily. You end up spending more and eventually you hit the 70$ + mark. If I were you, i'd spend around that much, depending on what you use them for.

Sennheiser are the best headphones I've used though.

I have some KOSS headphones which were $14. Not very comfy.. the "leather like" ear cups are just... plastic feeling. Not to mention the bass crackles at any tone. Then I had some ... d'oh. I forget the name. The "gamers" headset with the mic built in from the company that starts with a P [I think.]

Damn memory.

Anyway, then I got tired of crap ass headphones so I simply went out and paid $110.00 shipped for a brand new pair of Bose Tri-port headphones. I cant express how COMFORTABLE these are and how GREAT these sound. I even tried a bass test "song" and at all volumes, even max it never crackled a bit. And, the funny thing is, when it was turned all the way down you can still hear some sort of vibration of some sort - nothing really, but its there - just enough to tell you that it can create bass that low.

Ive tried the BOSE and they are in no competition with the Sennheisers, Sennheiser is awsome.

Agreed, Bose sucks, but the OP wants some for less than $20. IMO, save some $$ and get some HD497s.
