1. This is the ATI forum so it's likely he was asking for ATI cards.

2. The 6800gt isn't available for under $200.

3. I recommend a 9800 Pro for the $200 limit.

Yea i would go with the 9800 pro as well and i would also like to know where you can order 6800GT's for under $200 because i'll take 10.

that card has a 128bit memory buss. no way dont buy that card.

9800Pro IS the best card for under $200.

That 128bit card owns the 9800 pro all day long in games.

Check hardocp.com reviews.

yeah yer right. with its WAY higher clock speeds the 6600GT version looks like a damn nice card for less than $200.

6600GT outperforms the 9800pro by 20-30% in most games. Hell, it even beats the 9800XT.

Definitely go with the 6600GT.

Right now the 6600 GT beats the 9800 Pro. Not too surprising, since 6600 GT is much newer... the 9800 Pro dominated nVidia for a very long time, and is a better buy than anything in the entire FX series, including the comically overpriced FX 5950 Ultra. But nVidia has finally made something better for about the same price.

Only wierd thing is that ATI has not cut 9800 Pro prices to reflect the fact that it is an older product... the thing is priced exactly the same as the newer, faster 6600 GT. If anything, 9800 Pro prices have gone UP in the last few months, since sales on them used to be common, but have since dried up.

Get the 6600 GT it OWNS the 9800 pro easy. If you dont want anything from Nvidia...than maybe wait until ATI makes something good at a desent price (200). I wish they made that DAmn X800 XL AGP version..

i need a favor....

i need a card that can play hl2, cs:s, and battle for middle earth good, under $200

I'll happily sell my 9800np thats in my sig for $160 shipped .. You just got to wait for me to get a replacement :)
YMMV, mind you, so I can't promise what overclock you get.... but I've got it clocked a LOT higher than the 9800Pro speeds :)

437/347 instead of it's 324/290 stock speeds.. *0* artifacts, *0* stability issues.

I think the 6600GT would be the best buy for under $200 because its newer, faster and supports the new technology like Smart Shader 3.0.

just make sure you get the GT version cause the regular 6600 does not outperform a 9800Pro.
