recommend external backup system?

i have about 3tb of rips and music on my computer, and i have a few 2tb drives out of my computer that i have everything backed up onto via an external dock. i was wondering what my options are if i regularly add to my collection, and want to back it up regulary without having to copy over all 3tb every time. for example can i use windows backup and tell it to backup internal D: drive to external E: drive so that once a month i can just plug E: back in and have it automatically add whatevers new since the last backup? i think thats kind of how windows backup works but nor sure if i can do it with an external dock like this. what other alternatives are there that are simple and reliable? i dont want to spend a lot of time fiddling with this to make it work right. thanks for the help guys!
 
I use SyncBack. It doesn't make images but straight copies, and only the changes.
