The Creative Fatal1ty MkII headset is really nice.
It shuts out external sound pretty good and the mic works very well also. The sound output is also very good.. better than a few expensive-ish Sony headphones I have.

What's the budget?
Im a bit of an Audio Technica fanboy - just noticed a few days ago that they have come out with a line of gaming headsets by adding mics to some of their high-end cans. Theyre slightly on the crazy-expensive side at the moment since they just came out, but I am still fairly enthusiastic about picking some of these up when the price comes down in a few months.

If you want a ready to go solution the Sennheiser Game One , Astro A40, and Beyerdynamic mmx 300 also come to mind.
I can say that the Sennheiser Game One's predecessor (PC 360) sounded better than the Astro a40 from personal experience. Excellent noise suppression on the microphone without any need for DSP, too. Though, I found the A40 to be more comfortable.
