I'm never had a home Internet connection.
I've always lived off my Mobile and contorted and beat it do do things it's not supposed to. My AT&T or T-Mobile monthly data use-age has averaged at the 40GB mark depending on the platform for the last decade or so, failing EDGE or HSPA, for large transfers, I've always taken advantage of public WiFi.
It seem still seems crazy to me to pay for two Internet bills. However. It's 2015, living situations change and at, 37, I'm an old man.
What would you guys recommend for a robust, reliable open source router in the AC class? I want to run a VPN through it, given any particular day I distribution hop like a prostitute, torrent mildly and bonus points for Mesh capability.
I'm happy to look at whatever you guys recommend and at whatever price point since this will be my one purchase for a considerable amount of time.
Thoughts?
