Looking to upgrade a cheap Rosewill case.

I have a Phenom II 965, Decent sized heatsink and a 4850 to fit, but nothing crazy. My priorities are low noise and heat (aren't everyone's). I'd like to keep it under $100, but don't mind recommendations over that. Reviews seem all over the place because some emphasize cooling capability, appearance, or build quality and pay no attention to noise.

I think the case with the best noise qualities is either the Antec Solo or P18x series.

It's unfortunate that the two qualities you are looking for are diametrically opposed, heh. If you want low temperatures, you'll want lots of fans and vents - but if you want low noise you'll want solid (not perforated) sides and fascia/door to keep the fan noise in. You probably also want to stay away from aluminum cases as they are much more likely to resonate with any vibrations.

If you're looking for reviews that focus on noise, your best bet is probably SPCR.

I'll echo botw's suggestion of the P180 which remains the quietest case I've ever used. It's probably bigger and more expensive than you had in mind, though. The SOLO was also pretty good for low-noise but it's old enough that it might be difficult to find.
 
Yes, I realize that the qualities I want are opposed, so I am looking for the best balance.

I actually have a p150 (which I think is the same as the solo) for one of my builds and it's a nice case. I may get another one, but assumed there were newer/better options on the market now since I got it years ago.

Seems like the bottom-chambered power supply setup has gained some traction and perhaps helps with airflow and noise both...are those types of setups really that much of an advantage.
