I'm looking to build a system and need a recommendation on the power supply. Here are the vital details:

Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD7
CPU: AMD FX-8350
RAM: 16 GB (4x4GB)
HD: 1 WD Black 1TB
GPU: 4x Radeon HD 7970 Gigahertz Edition
plus case fans

I'm building pretty bare to do mostly crunching. I have no plans on overclocking, but the CPU and GPU's will be close to 100% usage when they're crunching. Please recommend either a single PSU, or dual PSUs and at what rating/wattage..

Thanks.

As long as you don't plan on doing any heavy oc'ing (tahiti can be a power hog once over-volted), this psu should be able to handle your system with some breathing room.

A 1200 watt power supply would be sufficient, but just barely, provided no overclocks.

There are a few 1350 watt power supplies that should comfortably power your system, otherwise, step up to the 1500/1600 watt power supplies. The G1600 is generally a fairly good value.
