i just got my rig built and need a good FPS. i'm kinda hung in between getting HL2 and waiting for Q4.

my main concern is online competetion. i've NEVER got into any of the HL2 mp games but it seems that these games have a highly competetive community and the games seem like they are nice overall.

Quake 3 is one of my all time fav's and i'm thinking about waiting for Q4 based on what i've read.

Farcry is an option but i've read bad things about mulitplayer.

being that my rig is running on 256mb RAM ( :confused: ) i'll have to wait to game anyway so i think i'm leaning towards Q4. any feedback would be coo. i wish my 2g's of ram would kinda hurry up and get here. nothing like running a bad ass gaming rig on 256mb of pc-0000.
 
i played the BF2 demo and wasn't really impressed like i was with the Farcry, Doom3, and HL2 demos.
 
Battlefield 2, Call of Duty, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 1942, Unreal-Tournament 2004/Red Orchestra.
 
There are some good ones coming out on Monday if you can hold off. Call of Duty 2 would be a good one, Cold War looks decent, Serious Sam 2 comes out on Monday.

Get both, and F.E.A.R. + COD2 ;) should be good for a while :D
