Okay. I'm looking for a recommendation for a 2.1 speaker system. I'd like to spend around $100, but I can go up to $200 or so if there's a big jump in quality. I'd really like it if these things sounded nice. I'm not sure if that's achievable with my budget or not. You guys tell me.

The other thing I'm wondering about is some kind of anti-vibration pad or enclosure for a computer subwoofer? I'm not sure if they're made, but I'm envisioning something like a silicon mat that the sub can sit on-- my PC tower will be very close to the sub, and I'm trying to avoid hurting my moving components inside the PC (read: HDD, etc.) via the sub's vibration. Anyone know of a good solution?

Thanks!

Klipsch Promedia 2.1 THX is the best computer-oriented speaker system. I had mine for almost 7 years and it was excellent for games, music and movies. It's more expensive than the Logitech, but well worth it. You can find the Klipsch for under $150 with a little help from Google. Call me an snob, but I prefer to buy audio products from an audio specialist instead of a mouse & keyboard company. :p

Bookshelf's + amp + sub. Anything remotely "realistic" in terms of sound quality etc, but the cost is probably above $500+.

i here also recommend getting the klipsch 2.1 system. i listended to my buddies z2300 and their a little too boomy for me in terms of bass.

In your position, i'd get these. I was wondering, though, what's wrong with your current 5.1 set?
Oh, haha-- the computer in my sig is long gone, I just haven't gotten around to changing it.

Thanks for the recommendations, the Klipsch ones are sounding pretty good to me.
