I had planned to get my Gaming Bomb II case powder coated, but unfortunately the business refused to do it in a single Candy coat because the color would not be uniform, and they said a metallic coat would require 3 coats and would be so thick the case might not go back together properly.

I want something a bit different, so I’ve decided to get the case painted.

Does anyone have any links, or have any personal knowledge or experience for a place that does a quality job of painting a case? I had a couple of ‘sites bookmarked, but they are no longer in business. Don't tell me to do it myself; I don’t have the skills, the time, the patience, or the space to paint a case.

I don’t want some rinky-dink place. The only one I’ve found is Tekido Custom Computer Cases. Anyone have any experience with them? They are expensive, but I don't mind paying for quality.

Any others? Thanks.
 
I'd recomend a local auto body shop, save in shipping and they'll do beautiful work if you find a good one... shouldn't be too expensive either.
 
yeah those autobody shop guys are awesome, this one guy that lives near me works at one and he did an awesome job on his truck.
 
I agree local body shops especially the custom autobody shops do great paint jobs...Go and look around...inquire first..
 
You could always have that case anodized...it is aluminum after all. I saw a guy over in the Coolermaster forums who had his CM stacker anodized black...my jaw dropped as it looked SWEET. Plus getting a case or anything for that matter doesn't really add any "layers" that would give you a hard time geting things to fit back together...that is if you needed to take it apart as generally they would just "dunk" your case.

It alreadys us anodized. I don't know if it could be "re-anodized". Besdies I want something other than black. I've had a Lian LI PC-65B for the last 2 years and it's time for a change. If I have to stick with silver so be it.

I bought mine for $190 (including tax) at Microcenter last month when they were having a 20% off case sale. MC has some surprising good deals, but otherwise they're high. Right now Newegg has the cheapest price.

But you have to love 'em for all the tiny parts they carry, at least here in MN they do....it is like a computer candy store! :eek:
 
I had a call this evening from another powder coating place in Dallas. I emailed them a RFQ (request for quote) and they told me the price would be, $352!!!

BUT, it might DOUBLE depending if they had to order the powder. Can you imagine spending $700 to color a case??
If I did that I ought to have my ass kicked. I haven't replied, but I'm going to tell them no thanks!!!
 
Max anoodizing is great they put a gucci anno on my paintball gun and they are the best ever. Google max annodizing and check them out
