Hi all
I will be traveling this summer e so I need to get a laptop

Mostly it will be used to watch movies and downloaded videos

I am looking at Acer Aspire AS5542G-5281 from newegg for $600 and am wondering if that is a good laptop for what I will need it for

Acer's are pretty low quality

the Asus laptops have come down in price, you can buy one of their older models which is still gaming capable for around $650-$800ish

Notebookreview's forums would be the first place I'd look if I were to consider purchasing a laptop.

I did research on there for a month before buying my Gateway 7811-FX
