A guy on the forums seems to like his Evercool EC-WC-202
http://www.coolerguys.com/840556060161.html

And IMO it doesnt look half bad and for $100 it seems like a good deal.

I am looking at getting my first water cooling setup so a "kit" would be the n00b choice for me. But if anyone else things that I should do soemthing diffrent then please LMK.

The case I'm looking at using is a Aspire X-QPACK.

Thanks!

Please note that he was using it on a 2.66 GHz Pentium. Also Sharka has it for a few bucks less. I think this would be nice for a silent solution so long as you didn't want to do a lot of OC with it. :)

I have the evercool wc-202 on my case. Its a standard atx but it works nicely.I dd what he did and took it out of the casing. Its very quiet with only 10 mins worth of easy modding.Just make you use a generous amount of anti freeze with the distilled water.

Stop with the Sharka shit Top Nurse, its getting annoying hearing that you can buy Sharka approved equipment from Sharka. Guh.

My suggestion here would be a small pump, there is a pump out that that is a 2"x2" cube, its really silent, there is also a Laing DDC 12V you could use, ummm. Use 3/8" tubing, preferred tygon because it won't kink (or as easily as Primoflex tubing).

Use as little 90* elbows as you can. They restrict flow.

I think Swiftech was offering a res-pump combo with a DDC 12V a while back, where it would all fit into one 5.25" bay. That would be handy dandy IMO.

Hum doesnt this kit come with anti freeze? So you just add the water???

Also why wouldnt you count on a good OC with this rig? Yeah its $50-100+ cheaper than other kits you can buy. but :?

All I really care is to do slightly better than what air cooling could pull off.

It will do what you want. The kind of OC that goes on around in this forum is what people are speaking in reference to. You can OC a stock processor with stock cooling. You will be able to do about the same.
