Recognizing SATA HDs

I just installed two SATA WD Raptor 400gb hard drives on my AMD. My MB is an ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe. My BIOS recognizes the drives, XP hardware manager recognizes the drives, but when I click on my computer it only displays the third (older 80gb) WD hardrive that I had installed. How do I get access to my new hardrives?
I also enabled RAID in the bios and RAID manager but windows will still not recognize it. I even see Windows hardware manager recognize them as new hardware but nothing happens...even though the computer detects the hardrives.

Two things, you have to have your SATA drivers installed, which I assume is already done since the manager recognizes them. Second, you have to format them using fdisk or something. I had to use Partition Magic to format them. I had the same thing you have, everything but Explorer would see the drives, so I just formated them with PM and vola they showed up in Explorer.
 
have you checked disk management:

right click on my computer -> manage -> disk management

you may need to initialize, partition and format the disk
 
You didn't mention if you configured an array, or just enabled raid functionality in the BIOS. You also didn't meantion how you were able to travel into the future and get 400 GB Raptors! ;)
 
Thanks for the replies guys. I got windows explorer to recognize the drives with no problems except one. After I partitioned and named the two drives I went into the BIOS and enabled RAID (striping) on those two drives. When I went back into XP it had the drives as one but I couldn't access it. It says that the drives in not accessible and that it could be corrupted or unreadable. Is this because I have not installed RAID drivers? I have installed everything from my ASUS motherboard DVD..
 
I think I figured it out, I just deleted the array and started again, this time the drive showed up as one in windows explore disk manager,...partitioned it and quickformatted now it is one big 800gb drive..and no it's not a Raptor, I mispoke on that one! :D
