I hook my JVC HA-RX700's up to my Onkyo SR304 Reciever. It usually defaults to stereo. When in stereo the headphones have a ton of static, and then I change to Direct mode, and the static disappears and its clear as a bell.
So my question is, what is the difference between stereo and direct, is one bypassing something or are they creating sound differently? It just stumps me.
