Hi,

I have received a 74GB Raptor that does not have the origional label on it, but rather a small lable on one of the sides that states the jumper settings. The drive is OEM, is this normal, and if not, have I just received a drive that the warranty has been voided on?

yes i had the same thing, drive is most likely a pull from a OEM system, therefore the warranty that would come with the retail drive from WD is not applicable on your drive.

sucks too when i had that exact drive blow up on me.

sorry man

here on the forums. Was not infomed that it was un-labeled when I traded for it. Of course, I didn't think to ask either :/
