Recent PC Built, But It's slow any help?

Hello Guys,
I recently just put together a new computer which contains

amd64 3000 (stock Heatsink)
512 pc3200 (Corsair Value)
MSI K8N Neo 4
GIGABYTE PCX5750 (PCI Express) (128 Ram)
80gyg 7200 rpm hard drive
A-TOP XBlade Case (450 W PS)

Well this is the new build but now i'm getting some freezing problems sorta like the computers studders whenever i just leave it idle and just leave the music playing or just leave the IE open and whenever i come back to it it's just like takes a long time to minimize the pages or just pause the music. I used to have an amd athlon xp 3000 and no problems but now with this computer that's what i've been getting i've checked the voltages and cpu temperatures and they all look fine to me... any ideas on what i can do to resolved this issue to me it sounds like a heating problem but just doesn't make any sense here's a picture of the temperatures and voltages i have on this baby.... Thanx for any help.....

if your on windows xp try this

Start
control panel
performance and maintenace
Power options
change the times to shut them off to never, see if it helps, also check the tab under it..
