I revived a GX260 and GX280 I had laying in my closet and borged them into my UD profile. My current rig (the one in the sig) is running the console to use one of my idle cores for [H]Folding.

I was curious, why are there far more members in [H] Folding vs United Devices? Isn't a cure for cancer pretty important too?
 
Well, probably for a few reasons.

FAH can be installed on windows clients, mac clients, Linux clients, uses graphics cards, SMP processor setup, runs in service mode, servers are more stable than UD (from what I hear), team rank is #1 vs #11, can be more resource friendly, etc.
 
FAH is also trying to cure various forms of cancer -- UD isn't the only one doing this. Check out the main page at http://folding.stanford.edu It's all about how the proteins fold. If you get misfolding you get many types of diseases. To name a few from Stanfords site such as Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes.

Both projects have the same goal, to understand and cure diseases.... Both have merit, some like F@H, some like UD, some like other projects.... To each their own... Read up on the two projects (F@H and UD are the only two projects in which [H]ardOCP has an Official team) and pick which works best for you
