Receiver question

I would like to know if my logitech z5300 speakers would be compatible with this receiver that I have that's been lying around the house not in use. I don't know much about receivers since I have not used one before so maybe some of you audiophiles can help out. The model is a Sony STR-K700 receiver. Also, would connecting these speakers up to the receiver have much impact on the sound because im aware that the speakers that usually get connected to receiver's are more high end and designed for home theater as opposed to the logitech's solution to a "all in one" computer speaker setup. Thanks
 
the receiver could blow those little speakers up but if you keep the volume low it would work fine. better? I don't know b/c honestly those speakers suck. Best thing to do would be to save up and get some better speakers. you can start with just two.
