My P4 3.0@3.7 was fun but it was time to switch to the dark side. Sold my guts and bought new stuff. A64 OC thread, here I come
After 2 heart attacks and an emergency run to Home Depot, my rig is finally up and running.
Emergency 1: Didn't push my compression fittings in enough on the CPU block and when I kicked the pump on I watched a waterfall pour onto my brand new 6800GT. I had paper towels on top of it but so much water came out it just soaked them.. I jammed the fittings on better, dried the area with compressed air, had a beer, and fired it back up.. no leaks..phew!!
Emergency 2: The <sarcasm> INGENIOUS Engineers </sarcasm> that designed the pump for my system thought it would be funny to make it out of 2 halves, and join them with a simple O-Ring. More or less you can crack my pump like an egg. Well when I attempted to "burp" my system by tilting it, the pump came apart, spraying water all over my new 74 Gig Raptor and 300 Gig Diamondmax Drive.. KAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHN!!!!!! Time for Home Depot. Picked up some Gorilla glue and fused that bitch together. Let it sit for an hour while I drank a few more brews, and was now ready to fill her up again.
It's ALIVE!
